Next Meeting for RUNGRAVILLE is Tuesday, June 28th at the Granville Village offices at 7:00pm. Feature speaker will be Granville's Dan Sekerak. He has been one of the top runners in the Granville area for over 30 years. Dan teaches and coaches at Lakewood High School. Dan is one of the top grand master (50 and over) runners in Ohio. He will talk for a few minutes about running in Licking County and the old Legend Harriers which he help start in 1979. He is also organizing group runs at various locations throughout Licking County this summer on Wednesday evenings. His runs are from 8 -14 miles and start at 6pm. The next three Wednesday evening runs will be from 11-13 miles and they are: June 29th -the Haulin' Hankinson in Granville (11-13 miles), July 6th the Wesleyan Church Wobble (84 Rocwood Ct) and July 13th Boundaries Bounce starting at the Lakewood Intermediate School. We hope you can make the meeting on June 28th and the meeting should last about an hour. If you have note yet received your RUNGRANVILLE t-shirt and discount card they will be available at the meeting. If you cannot attend the meeting and would like me to send them to you, email me and I will get them to you next week. Also, a number of runners are meeting at 7am on Saturdays for group runs in Granville starting at the drinking fountain in downtown Granville. If you plan to run the Granville Firecracker Five on July 4th make sure you pre-register by June 27th to save $3. After June 27th and on race day the fee goes up to $20. Entry forms are at various businesses around town and at the Village offices. If you are looking for other races in and around Ohio check out the RUNOHIO Race Calendar at: www.runohio.com Write me if you have any questions, or my call me at 587-0376 (I will be out of town for a few days this week). Good luck with your training and racing. We hope you have a happy and safe 4th of July. Matt McGowan FYI ....If you are interested, Stephanie Agosta would also like some help in setting up a cross country series of races in August - November. Steph is out of town right now, but would love to hear from you on helping her with this series when she returns from vacation.
